Trump is banned

It’s not every day than an entire religious denomination makes a proclamation against the President of the United States, but that’s just where we find ourselves in Trumpworld.

Officials at this year’s Southern Baptist Convention unanimously decided to send a message to Donald Trump by declaring the SBC forevermore condemned Trump’s alt-right backers and ANY kind of racism.

In 2016, four out of five evangelicals in America voted for Trump. But with the SBC’s new bold proclamation, we’re witnessing a massive change of heart on a societal level, which is EXACTLY what needs to happen in response to Trump’s toxic leadership.

It all started when Texas pastor William McKissic took to the floor of the convention with a powerful motion.

He called for the SBC to take a stance against the growing alt-right wave in America that’s been responsible for a series of recent pro-Trump terrorist attacks.

“There has arisen in the United States a growing menace to political order and justice that seeks to reignite social animosities, reverse improvements in race relations, divide our people, and foment hatred, classism, and ethnic cleansing,” McKissic declared.

“[This] toxic menace, self-identified among some of its chief proponents as ‘white nationalism’ and the ‘alt-right,’ must be opposed for the totalitarian impulses, xenophobic biases, and bigoted ideologies that infect the minds and actions of its violent disciples.”

Missouri pastor David Glass passionately supported McKissic’s proclamation.

He immediately took to Twitter to begin rallying support for McKissic’s bold initiative amongst the SBC’s attendees.

“Racial unity and justice is a hill on which to die. If you’re at #SBC17, get in the convention hall and stay till last gavel,” Glass wrote.

“The so-called Alt-Right white supremacist ideologies are anti-Christ and satanic to the core. We should say so.”

Thanks to the swelling of support, McKissic’s proclamation ended up unanimously passing at the CBC, marking a moment of human decency that the entire nation should pay attention to.

For his part, Missouri pastor James Forbis declared this year’s CBC to be a smashing victory for Christians everywhere.

“I am once again proud to be a Southern Baptist because we have put one more nail now in the coffin of racism,” Forbis commented to the press.

“We have condemned the satanic cult of the alt-right and have told the world how Christians do act.”

“Not just Southern Baptist[s], but all true Christians denounce all forms of racism, white supremacy, and every kind of form of ethnic hatred,” Forbis said.

“This is a historic moment and I am proud to have voted on this resolution.”

It’s downright tragic that religious leaders have to take such a strong moral stand against the President of the United States and his supporters.

But it just speaks to how menacing the pro-Trump alt-right really is.

What’s your take? Is this story just further proof that Trump’s base is now revolting against him?

Please take our poll below and make your voice heard! Let’s speak up just like these pastors at the SBC!

Is Trump’s own base turning against him?

These pastors are showing the nation what REAL moral leadership looks like.

We certainly aren’t getting the same example from Trump’s White House right now.

Hate must be fought at every turn in America, lest we surrender our nation once and for all to Trump and his alt-right whackos.

Love trumps Trump’s hate.
