Former President Obama posted to social media this morning to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11th, 2001, a full 16 years after their lives were lost on that terrible day.
“We remember everyone we lost on 9/11 and honor all who defend our country and our ideals. No act of terror will ever change who we are,” Obama posted.
Former President Obama’s post has put President Trump’s speech at the Pentagon earlier this morning to shame, largely due to the fact that Trump has been caught in the past spouting numerous lies and creating controversy around 9/11.
Trump’s speech at the Pentagon also seemed devoid of any real feeling or sentiment, probably because it was pre-written for him by someone else.
A collection of his lies about 9/11 are flooding social media today, showing how his participation in 9/11 ceremonies in and of itself, brings along all his controversy with it.

Remember that time Trump claimed that he personally helped clear the rubble at ground zero on 9/11 (he didn't) pic.twitter.com/hHEL7our6Q

Friendly reminder that in 2012 Trump suggested, on Twitter of course, that President Obama had something to do with 9/11. pic.twitter.com/MutJrQoLPx

One of the worst was when Trump was caught on an audio recording, seemingly celebrating the fact that 40 Wall Street in Manhattan, was now the tallest building in New York City again, after the Twin Towers fell.
Trump purchased 40 Wall Street in 1995 and renamed the building The Trump Building.
Thousands of people died on 9/11 and Trump’s initial reaction was happiness his building was the tallest again pic.twitter.com/jkLygUelF7

The stream of Trump’s speech is provided in the video below, though do note that this is the full event, thus it is quite long. Trump’s speech starts around 40:00.
