It looks like Jimmy Fallon is finally joining his fellow late-night hosts in bringing the fight to Trump.
Jimmy Fallon took a jab at President Trump this past Monday night by performing a parody of the Christmas carol in the style of Bruce Springsteen entitled “Robert Mueller’s Coming to Town.”
Fallon sang the parody song on “The Tonight Show” while fully garbed as the E Street Band leader, whose famous version of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” is still a Christmas staple.
“You’d better watch out, you’d better not cry, You’d better not lie to the FBI, Robert Mueller’s coming to town,” Fallon sang.
“He’s making a list of naughty and nice, he’s gonna find out just who to indict, Robert Mueller’s coming to town.”
“He sees your Russian meetings, he’s read all your emails, he knows that you tried to collude, it isn’t ‘fake news’ for goodness’ sake,” he continued.
The jab comes just days after former national security adviser Michael Flynn was revealed to have pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russia.
The Flynn indictment has become the fourth in the special counsel’s investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Many see Flynn’s indictment as an key turning point and a signal that the investigation might be ramping up.
Unlike other late-night hosts such as Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert who have focused their shows around politics, Fallon usually refuses to introduce a political angle to his show, saying that “it’s just not what I do.”
Which has caused Colbert’s ratings to have overtaken Fallon’s in the past year.
Donald Trump will likely have something to say about Fallon finally speaking out against him.
